I have had a couple of companies that have donated some supplies to WEEVA for all participating teams to have available for use during qualification and race day. During the following year, I will be trying to have more companies donating.
The couple of companies that have donated supplies have asked if we would be interested in them putting on safety/product demonstrations during qualification and race days. They could be scheduled or on-going. This is a good time to learn safety as well as how the manufacture has intended for the product to be used. Also, it is an opportunity to ask questions. I think this goes along with some of the objectives WEEVA is trying to achieve. I know from my experience that there are times when the students are standing around and have nothing to do. Do you see something like this that would add to the events? If so, how do you see it fitting into the two days?
