It is hard for me to think of only 2 topics that I an excited to teach but I think the two I am looking forward to the most would be Nutrition and Culinary Arts.
I have worked in the foodservice industry since 1979 in many places throughout the world and have gained knowledge from some of the best chefs and instructors in the country. The knowledge I have gained about designing or creating flavor-full and attractive meals and passing that information on to others has been something that I have loved to do for many years.
All students need to know what they are putting into their bodies and how it will affect their growth and development and the growth and development of their children (hopefully future children). Nutrition is not just the nutrients that make up a food item but also how those nutrients affect your mind and body. Nutrition is a great way to help students improve memory, sports performance, and can help in the regulation of many illnesses and learning disorders.
